I've partnered with schools in Michigan for 11 years and now in Southern MN/Northern IA to help advisers and aspiring journalists publish a yearbook using real-life skills. That also includes guiding schools to find their brand, and identity and build their school culture and climate. My Journalism guidance consists of but is not limited to; concept brainstorming, reporting, research, editing, photo editing, graphic arts, public relations, media law, design, and layout. As well as business and technology skills like; budget planning, promotion, marketing, selling, customer relations, market research, business software, publishing, social media management, photo editing software, and online design. The life skills are comprised of; communication, leadership, time management, project management, problem-solving, capturing memories and history, team building, conflict resolution, and public speaking. I have a sincere passion to help shape our youth and prepare them for the world today.
