Updated Information for 2021:
The 49th Annual Woman of Achievement Celebration will be a virtual celebration throughout the month of March 2021, as we pause our in-person gala this year due to COVID-19 precautions. The safety of our members and community guests is one of our top priorities. It is also essential to preserve the integrity of the event and the excitement and honor for nominees that comes with being honored at our in-person gala. COVID-19 may keep us from celebrating in-person, but it cannot prevent us from building others up and highlighting women who have made a difference in our community.
Make sure to follow OBW on Facebook and Instagram to view our Woman of Achievement Celebration through videos, photos and content posted throughout March. We will highlight past Woman of Achievement honorees, and we will continue to support women pursuing post-secondary education by awarding scholarships. Watch all of this unfold online this year simply by scrolling through social media.
Perhaps most importantly, help us celebrate the 2021 Woman of Achievement: All Resilient Women Who Persisted Through 2020. If that's you, we hope you join us online in March and find some inspiration!

The Woman of Achievement award has been given out since 1972 as a way to honor business and professional women living and working in Steele County who have distinguished themselves in their careers and communities. A panel of out-of-town judges chooses the final recipient based off criteria that includes a successful achievement in their chosen career, assistance to others in chosen career or assistance to youth and young careerists, volunteer effort in service or professional organizations, civic engagement, and other leadership roles within the community.
