The By-Laws Committee, composed of Katie Glaser, Rebecca Moore, Dr. Laura Seid and Karen Legault, are looking forward to sharing some OBW history and facilitating important conversations around proposed changes to the OBW Bylaws at our February monthly meeting. To help with that discussion, please review the attached documents, which show the proposed changes, before the February meeting. One document shows the proposed changes as redlines in the Bylaws and the other document shows the changes in a chart format with a short explanation for each proposed change. These documents have the same proposed changes, just in different formats. They have worked diligently over the last several months to prepare this for our organization.  

The changes are being proposed at the February meeting in order to take a vote at our March 16th membership meeting. It’s important for as many members as possible to take part in the Bylaws discussion in February so everyone is informed about the changes and can discuss comments and questions. It’s equally important for members to attend the March meeting so we have a sufficient quorum for voting. The Bylaws Committee looks forward to sharing about the proposed changes and the process that got us here, and we also want to address all questions and concerns in February, because our time will be limited for additional discussion at the March meeting. 

The  Bylaws committee has requested that questions be submitted by 5pm on Friday, February 12th in order for this group to prepare for the meeting. Please direct questions to owatonnabusinesswomen@gmail.com .

Woman of Achievement - Grab your friends for a beer and support OBW at Mineral Springs Brewery (MSB). A portion of all sales will be donated by MSB towards WOA Scholarships. For the month of February, every Wednesday night (2/10, 2/17 & 2/24) from 5:30-8:00 p.m. you can reserve an igloo and enjoy time the brewery! Hope to see you there!
